Acupuncture
Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used forms of medicine in the world. Originating in China more than 2,500 years ago, acupuncture is currently one of the most thoroughly researched, practiced, and respected forms of complementary medicine available anywhere.
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, your overall health is determined by the quality of the Qi (energy) flow through the natural pathways of your body (meridians). Acupuncture uses a variety of techniques, including placing very thin sterile needles into specific points on the body, to stimulate and improve your Qi flow. The many benefits of acupuncture include:

Naturopathic Consultation
Dr. Gonick will review your extended health history, your current medications and supplements, and listen to your goals and concerns. She may recommend laboratory tests, diet, lifestyle or supplement changes. She will work with you to create plan to help you reach your health goals.
Follow up visits typically are $75-90 for 20-30 minutes.
For new acute issues requiring a very short (5-10 min) visit $15-30.
Opus23 Consultation
Opus23 is a software program that allows Dr. Gonick to create a clearer picture of the genes likely to be involved in your health challenges. Opus23Pro allows us to look at more than just a trait or two at a time and evaluate multiple genes that may contribute to the likely functioning of methylation, detoxification, catecholamine, sex hormone, and other pathways.
Dr. Gonick can use this to analyze your SNPs and translate the data it into clinically relevant information. This information can be used to in inform the recommendations of nutrients, supplements, treatments, and lifestyle changes that can best help you.
It also provides important information on treatments and medications which may be less effective or even harmful based on your individual SNPs.
First consultations are $240 plus initial visit rate.
Unless you already have had a DNA test with any of the following: Ancestry.com, 23andme (either ancestry or health), and Genos, then the rate is $170 plus initial visit rate.
The most complete testing is a combination of 23andme and Ancestry.com.
Follow up Opus23 consultations (for additional health concerns) are $140.
Serotyping with Advanced Modifying Inventories (SWAMI) diet
Dr. Gonick creates a complete diet recommendation for you based your health history, family history, blood type, epigentic indicators, and other biometrics using the SWAMI Genotype software. She further customizes it to your needs including compensating for drug nutrient depletions and matching it to your diet restrictions.
After completing your intake with me, you will receive a binder containing your personalized diet plan. The binder is divided into 4 parts: introduction (including your GenoType rationale and customization), food lists, extras (including genoharmonic food list, link to meal planning and recipe software, shopping lists, and exercise guide), and a final section all about your GenoType in detail.
You will also have online access to your food list on your smartphone for shopping. Recipe binders and family diets guides are also available.
A SWAMI diet takes two separate visits: one for intake and measurements, and second to review and receive your binders of the diet and recipe suggestions. Often the first visit is combined with a new patient or follow up Naturopathic visit.
SWAMI reports are $150 plus initial visit. Updates to SWAMI diets are $90.

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture
This one hour long session includes: body acupuncture to restore balance and vitality, while promoting calm and restoring energy; auricular acupuncture to help detoxify and focus the body; facial acupuncture to balance coloring, reduce fine lines, eliminate muscle spasms, and increase skin tone; and facial tuina to restore calm and improve circulation.
Like most acupuncture, facial rejuvenation acupuncture helps to balance the body by improving circulation and stimulating the body's ability to regulate its nervous and endocrine systems. This helps to make you feel younger and more yourself: improving energy, relieving pain, and calming stress and emotional strain.
Facial rejuvenation acupuncture also directly treats the signs and symptoms of aging locally, on the face and neck, where damage from stress, negative emotions, disease, ultraviolet radiation, and other toxins and exposures is most noticeable. Through local treatments, it can directly improve blood flow, skin tone and muscle tone without any surgery or injections. You can expect to see a brighter complexion with more even tone, improvement in skin firmness,reduction in puffiness, and less fine lines.
Tui Na
Tui Na is an ancient form of bodywork that is based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I use a variety of pressures and strokes along the meridians (energy pathways) of your body to both relax your muscles and also stimulate the flow of energy throughout your body. By treating both the physical (musculature) and energetic (Qi) levels of your body at the same time, I can achieve results far beyond what you’d receive from a conventional massage therapy session.
Cupping
Cupping has been a part of Chinese Medicine for over 2,500 years. It relieves aches and pains, improves circulation, and also helps with respiratory and digestive issues. I simply place a specialized "cup" onto specific points on your body, and then use suction to draw your skin up into the cups. It doesn't hurt — it simply draws fresh blood to that area of your body, which facilitates the cleansing and strengthening of your Qi (energy). The end result is a greater overall sense of health and well-being.
Medical Qi Gong
Medical Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese Medical practice that combines slow movements, conscious breathing, and focused mental attention to strengthen and enhance the flow of Qi (energy) throughout your body. Rather than addressing your symptoms (as Western medicine tends to do), Medical Qi Gong addresses your ailment at its very source by healing your entire being — mentally, emotionally and physically.
Community Acupuncture
Community Acupuncture is an affordable option for those who need weekly or more frequent treatments. Groups of patients sit in chairs for their 20 minute treatments. Many people who aren't looking for alone time, really enjoy the social atmosphere of group treatments. You can come with a friend and chat during your treatment.
Because of the lack of privacy during community acupuncture, it is not offered for first patient visits or when treating a new complaint. Your pulse and tongue are examined and you can fill out a quick update on your form as to your progress, but there is no intake due to HIPPA regulations.
You can pay for community sessions each time or if recommended purchase a membership to make it more affordable.
Insurance and discounts
Generative Health's services are generally not covered by insurance in Pennsylvannia, but many HSA Health Savings Accounts and some insuarances will reimbuse services.
Workers compensation may cover you for acupuncture visits.
We are always happy to create a superbill for submission to your HSA or Insurance.
Significant discounts are available for patients with AccessPA cards, please call ahead if you are concerned about the visit price and qualify for state assistance insuarance.
Payment is due at time of service, we accept cash, checks, or any major credit card.
