Dr. Meghan Gonick believes in the body’s natural ability to heal given the right conditions.  However because we are each individuals our needs differ based on our genes, environment, biome (bacteria), stressors, and lifestyle.  She seeks to treat each person as the individual they are and tailor their treatment and recommendations for them.  She uses her skills as a naturopath and acupuncturist to create and individual treatment plan using: herbs, personalized nutrition, supplements, and Traditional Chinese Medicine to enhance your health and wellbeing.

Dr. Gonick's personal journey in Natural Medicine

Meghan’s journey into complementary medicine began as a child watching her grandmother manage her congestive heart failure using not just medications, but vitamins and exercise.  As a teen Meghan was drawn to herbal medicine, which she used to help treat herself and friends. After she left Lancaster for Carnegie Mellon University, she found she was still drawn to herbs and the abilities of the human body.  After suspending her studies she became a massage therapist with intentions to continue to study herbal medicine.  As a massage, therapist she became interested in Acupuncture and East Asian medicine.

Working as a massage therapist, only increased her desire to study the human body and botanical medicine. She completed her bachelor's at Millersville University, cum laude with a BS in Biology with specialties in Botany, and a minor in Biochemistry. There she worked with the Millersville Herbarium, the Lancaster County Conservancy, and performed research on potentially therapeutic plant constituents.  Following her degree, she worked with Native plants before finding Naturopathic Medicine.  She attended the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, which allowed her to visit her grandmother and offered an excellent acupuncture program as well as Naturopathy.

Since Meghan has been practicing Naturopathic medicine on herself, she has been able to virtually eliminate her migraines and clear her skin of her lifelong battle with a eczema-like condition known as hyperkeratosis pilaris.
